I hope to see more from the developer/director in the future. I had a blast playing 40ish hours for the main story and it's a clear recommendation to anyone who is even considering this purchase. This game will make me wish upcoming J/RPG titles will follow suit to this game. But i felt annoyed when i upgraded my pieces and after one fight i basically spent all my resources gaining little to nothing of it. The game is very generous and provides you with all the equipment you need. The only thing i'd criticize is the pace of receiving and upgrading armor/weapon pieces. Many gameplay features feel very convenient and like an improvement to older JRPG titles. There were a few hiccups in the story where i felt like "this feels like a irrational and rushed character development" but those were very rare and they stood out because the whole story is very well written and i just had so much fun playing it.
